Match the tool to the blocked action
Read the objective and the interaction prompt together. A missing extraction tool does not necessarily block a scanning job, and a broken tool in your backpack is not yet a usable one. These examples distinguish the actions actually shown in the walkthrough.

Use the repair recipe that is actually available
For Born to mop, keep Mop (Broken) from the workshop contact. At Wednesday’s freestanding red workbench by the yellow-rimmed bin and blue door, open Craft and select Mop. The demonstrated repair recipe requires the three ingredients below. Use the repair walkthrough for the contact and material pickup route.

Confirm an unlock, then try its intended action
Completing the craft produces Mop ×1 and a Tool unlocked — Mop message. The job moves from repairing the tool to mopping three spills. Equip it and hold the mop-up interaction at a spill; the counter advances as spills are cleared. Finish the three and return to the workshop mentor to complete that job.
The result establishes a usable tool unlock. It does not establish a higher tool tier, a speed multiplier or a repeatable stat-upgrade price. Those are different claims from making a broken mop work.
Why the older mop card is not this repair bill
An earlier recording shows a different Mop card: Textile ends 10, Pot metal 1 and Tool socket 1. The displayed card has no broken-mop ingredient. It is evidence of that older crafting screen, not the cost of the later workshop repair above.
KO_OP’s launch note says the economy overhaul changed recipes and resource drops. That supports treating old recipe lists as historical references; it does not tell us the current price of every tool or prove that every old ingredient disappeared.
Recorded scope
The two uploads document different interfaces and recipes; their dates are in the source list. Neither capture supplies an executable build number. The earlier creator describes Xbox Series X play. The later recording’s platform is unverified.
