Choose the reward you mean

Open Classifieds and select Welcome to the Belly, whose destination is Gorbit’s Belly. Its reward card separates the entries below. Regrove ×25 is the faction-labelled reward; the card does not say it grants 25 ranks.

Find the job contact, not just any neighbor

Track the job and travel to Gorbit’s Belly using your ship map. Dolores is seated at a laboratory desk beneath a green conversation marker. Talking to Yarine elsewhere in the station does not finish this job: the recorded objective still asks for a station representative afterward.

Follow the tracked station objective to Dolores and interact with Talk to Dolores.
Continue the conversation and follow the repair objective when it appears. The recorded player had already worked on the corridor pipes before reaching Dolores; that is not evidence that every new save can skip the repair.
If repairs remain, follow the marked object and its displayed requirement. Return to the station representative when the checklist asks you to.

Separate a response from a reward

Dialogue offers a radial choice of responses. Choose the reply you want to give; the footage does not establish a numerical affection bonus for any face icon. After the final exchange with Dolores, Welcome to the Belly displays Job completed and a teal token +5 toast. Use that named completion result instead of treating each line of dialogue as a reward.

Check currency and rank separately

At the Regrove kiosk, the balance is 005 and Salvaged gloves pattern costs 5 tokens. Fieldwork permit costs 15 and separately requires rank 4 with Regrove. The Cosmoculture bed design costs 5 but requires rank 2 with Nebula Movement. The faction named by the requirement matters even inside another faction’s shop.

If the price is affordable but a rank condition remains red, that price alone does not establish eligibility. No purchase or new neighbor unlock is demonstrated here.

Keep personal story progress separate

The official description says personal progression remains yours across sessions, while storylines can be experienced together or separately. See co-op progression for the multiplayer context.

A character’s faction badge identifies that conversation partner; it does not state your rank or an unlock threshold. This route distinguishes the visible systems without inventing a universal neighbor-unlock score, a best dialogue reply or a daily affection formula.
